For many believers, Romans 8 is a favorite passage, and it's easy to see why. The fulcrum of the entire book, this chapter speaks to many areas of theology including Christology, Hamartiology, Soteriology, and Eschatology, to name a few. But beyond the scholarship, Paul wants us to be "convinced" of God's mercy and grace ... that which is operative and unalterable in the lives of all those who are in Christ Jesus. In this sermon, too, Pastor Mark explains what some have called a "Rejection Cycle." How wrong thinking sabotages relationships, and the importance of understanding our identity in Christ. This is what Paul really wants you to know!

The Apostle Paul lived in the Light of the transforming power of the gospel and he had such sin-sensitivity when the Holy Spirit brought sin to his consciousness, it grieved his soul. What does Romans 7:7-25 tell us about cultivating this same sin-sensitivity? This message was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on May 6, 2012.

In this three part message rooted in Romans 7:1-6, Pastor Mark first teaches us to walk with God not because we have to but because we want to in response to His great love for us, i.e., the forgiveness of our sins. Then, switching gears, he provides a financial update and pastoral challenge to members of Mosaic challenging the body not simply to watch what is happening but to get in the game. In so doing he demonstrates the prophetic voice of the church, i.e., its growing reach and influence on the American (Global) Church as we address the question, If the kingdom of heaven is not segregated then why on earth is the church?

Don't fight against sin... instead yield to righteousness! In Romans 6:12-23, Paul describes the sanctification process for believers. It is opposite of the process we naturally think is needed to "sanctify ourselves." In this message, Pastor Harry Li summarizes the two identities of Romans 6:1-11, and then talks about the process necessary for us to become sanctified according to Paul's counter-intuitive method of growing in Christ This message was presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on April 22, 2012.

In this unique and powerful Easter message, Pastor Mark explains not only what Jesus did for us but just as importantly, why. In so doing he shares of his journey to brokenness, a progressive path that every believer will and must travel. As the congregation did the day of his message, you will likely identify with Mark's journey and in the process discover a renewed sense of freedom from guilt and shame; an appreciation for what Christ did for you, that which you cannot. This message was presented on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.

Pastor Anthony takes the Little Rock campus on a journey of Jesus' earthly ministry that culminates with His declaration to His followers that it is His time to go to Jerusalem and accomplish the task for which He came. He then challenges the congregation to make a similar declaration about things that they have been called to do or called to end as they walk with Christ. In this look at Romans, chapter 6, Pastor Mark explains the Apostle Paul's understanding of the believer's death in Christ, the believer's new life in Christ, and how mortal bodies can walk in newness of life. In so doing, Mark explains what we must know and do in order for grace to reign in our lives, moving us toward sanctification and, ultimately, eternal life. In this message, Harry Li looks at Romans 5:1-11 and discusses the process and the natural progression that justification should bring to our lives. He also explains how understanding the foundation of God's legal declaration of Christ's righteousness on us keeps us from getting "stuck" at different levels of immaturity. He also shows how this understanding helps us become the believer God desires us to be. Presented at Mosaic's Little Rock campus on March 4, 2012.

Pastor Anthony takes a look at Paul's view of Father Abraham and King David's righteousness. As Paul admonishes his readers to search the Old Testament Scriptures, so does Pastor Anthony as he walks the Little Rock campus through a discovery of Abraham and David's faith. There is great encouragement found in the lives of these flawed icons who were declared righteous, not because of their works, but rather because of their faith in God. More than that, Mark shares a simple presentation of the Gospel known as the Romans Road and provides illustrations to help you become more effective in sharing Christ with others. In this message, Pastor Mark overviews Romans 3 in which the Apostle Paul answers questions and objections concerning his message of Gentile inclusion. Pastor Anthony shares a message with the Little Rock campus couched around the statement, "the Gospel is seen before it is heard". As he continues our series in Romans, he encourages the congregation to commit to quality time in God's Word, which should lead to a Walk of integrity, powered by the Will of the Holy Spirit as we submit our lives to Him. In Romans, chapter 2, the Apostle Paul turns the tables on the self-righteous who had judged wrongly the pagan Gentiles who were coming to Christ. He masterfully finds ways to convince both sides to become One in Christ. By showing everyone the necessity of leaving the judging up to our sovereign God and understanding our need for redemption through Jesus, he paves the way to biblical unity. In this interesting look at the suffering endured by Joseph and Mary in response to their obedience, Mark DeYmaz reminds us that suffering is an expected part of the heroic Christian life. Instead of asking "Why Me?," Mark challenges us to ask "Why Not Me?" in the midst of suffering. He explains what our response to suffering should be and how it reflects our understanding of Immanuel, God with us ... the true hope and meaning of Christmas. This message was presented on December 18, 2011 at Mosaic's Little Rock Campus as part of the Countdown to Christmas series.

Pastor Anthony takes a look at the closing salutation of Paul to the Believers in Rome and finds in Romans 1:14-17 that Paul declares four things that should resonate with every Believer in Jesus. He challenges and encourages the Little Rock campus to declare that they are Debtors because of the Gospel, Dedicated to the Gospel, Determined to spread the Gospel message and Devoted to the faith of the Gospel.

Paul’s seemingly innocuous introductory greetings have significant theology behind their first appearances. He gives us a glimpse into the mindset required to be an instrument of God, deeply dependent on the Heavenly Father. Hopefully, you’ll get a glimpse into your own level dependence on Him who is able as Paul delivers some deep theology in the rather peculiar way that he greets the church in Rome.
