Well, the apocalypse didn't happen last Saturday, as predicted by a few misguided, former prophets but several of us did experience an "a-pie-calypse" the previous Sunday. No, we didn't vanish in the blink of an eye, but we did disappear under a very tasty sheen of dairy-whipped topping thrown by many of our own sons and daughters and other disgruntled members of Mosaic that were willing to pay real money for the opportunity to cast the first pie.
These so-called friends and family also happened to be supporting the efforts of our Czech Republic Missions Teams, set to depart from Little Rock in a mere 14 days! The team, comprised of Lonnie Brown, Leslie Goyer, Laine Munzberg, and Deb Sadler, are continuing their efforts to raise the remaining $3000 needed before they leave, hopefully without requiring any more humiliation on the part of their pastors.
This Sunday, you can have your favorite driving machine professionally manicured and awaiting you in pristine condition as soon as you emerge from either the first or second service. So bring your tired, your poor, your huddled masses of dirty cars to be washed by the Czech Missions Team and let's make eleven o'clock the most soiled hour in America.
The team is also requesting the donation of the supplies listed below. Why, you ask? You see, in the Czech Republic, such simple items as construction paper and recreational equipment are more difficult to find than Harold Camping (apocalypse leader) the day after he was not raptured.
Please be generous, let's support this team to make a difference where there is very little Light. All donations to the Czech Missions Team are tax deductible and can be made out directly to Mosaic Church. Please write in the memo line: Czech Missions.
