Paul’s seemingly innocuous introductory greetings have significant theology behind their first appearances. He gives us a glimpse into the mindset required to be an instrument of God, deeply dependent on the Heavenly Father. Hopefully, you’ll get a glimpse into your own level dependence on Him who is able as Paul delivers some deep theology in the rather peculiar way that he greets the church in Rome.
