The encounter between Christ, the Pharisees and the woman caught in the act of adultery in John 8 is so revealing. The entire encounter is an insightful illustration of many of the foundational principles found in the book of Romans. Christ reveals the flesh's propensity towards the extremes of self-righteousness and self-condemnation and underscores our need to live under grace.
