PIONEERS WANTED
Ever wanted to get in on the ground floor of something new and significant,
to help start or shape the future? This fall, you can by becoming one with us
at Mosaic's new Conway Campus!
THIS IS IT!
In April 2008, Mark DeYmaz attended the Exponential Conference in Orlando, FL,
billed as "The largest gathering of church planters on earth." Whether that's entirely
true or not, the fact is some 3,000 church leaders were there and energized about
reaching the lost through the establishment of new churches and campuses where
existing churches already exist. This was at a time when gas prices were going up,
the economy was going down and after six years as a church, Mosaic had just started
its second service. Returning to Little Rock, he wondered (first with the elders and
then with Mosaics living in the Conway / Mayflower area) whether or not it was time
to act on something we envisioned as possible from the very beginning: namely,
a second campus in Conway. Taking up the consideration, these groups began to pray,
to fellowship and to discuss both the pros and cons of possibilities.
And by the following summer (2009), there was no doubt in anyone's mind: it was time
to bring the Mosaic witness of Christ-like love for all people officially to Conway.
The rest as they say is history!
This coming Sunday, then, Mosaic will officially launch its second campus in Conway!
You, your family and friends will not want to miss it, a chance to mark the moment and
someday say, "I was there." It's not so much that this will be a "bells and whistles"
event. Rather, it is simply the next significant step on a journey begun in 2001,
one in which a handful of individuals (including many now involved in the Conway campus)
dared to believe that men and women of ethnic and economic background could indeed walk,
work and worship God together as one in and through the local church for the
sake of the gospel.
So what can you expect this Sunday? Mark DeYmaz will bring the inaugural message and the
Chosen Daughters will lead us in worship. In addition, we'll have a bouncy castle for the kids,
and a reception - complete with cake and punch - will follow at 11:30 am! People will be
coming from Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas to be part of the festivities; I hope you are
working hard to bring your friends and others you know, as well.
That said, we hope to see you Sunday, 10 am, at Cornerstone Bible Church,
1905 Dave Ward Drive in Conway!
WHO WE ARE
Mosaic is a multi-ethnic, economically diverse church established by men and women seeking
to know God and to make Him known through the pursuit of unity in accordance with the prayer
of Jesus Christ (John 17:20-23) and patterned after the New Testament at
Antioch (Acts 11:19-26; 13:1ff.)
It is important to understand that Mosaic is not a church focused on racial reconciliation.
Rather, we are focused on reconciling men and women to God through faith in Jesus Christ and
reconciling ourselves collectively to the pattern of the New Testament local church prescribed
by Paul in his letter to the Ephesians.
