Greetings Parents and Friends of MoKids;
Thank you so much for all your support of the Children’s Ministry at Mosaic. It is a great privilege to serve you and your children. We have a great team of very gifted men and women who have committed to serve this Summer, but our team is really small. We need more help in order to provide a program that extends to all ages. Here are some things we would love to do, but if we don't have more people sign up to serve IMMEDIATELY, we will have to scale back significantly and some weeks we simply will not open classes at all:
9AM-10:20AM-MoKids Breakfast Club! Beginning on June 16th children ages 6 months through 12 years are invited to participate in the Breakfast Club. The children will be taught memory verses and Bible truths utilizing crafts, games, and a fun packed schedule outlined in the I Love My Bible, curriculum. Click Here to view the curriculum. The Breakfast Club will meet on days when Mosaic offers Equipping Classes (these are the dates: June 16th, 23rd, 30th; July 14th, 21st, 28th; August 11th, 18th, 25th ). THIS PROGRAM CURRENTLY NEEDS PEOPLE TO SERVE. Without immediate response we will only provide service up at age 10 and we can only except a limited number of students. Would you like to provide breakfast this Summer? If you’re willing to prepare an egg-free, nut-free breakfast item for the children to enjoy in the morning please CLICK HERE to sign up for a morning.
*NOTE: There are individuals who serve every morning in the Summer to provide childcare for children ages 3 and under (including days without the Equpping Hour Classes). This service is for individuals who desire to participate in the Chapel Service which begins at 9:15AM or who come early to serve on the First Impressions Team.
MoKids Breakfast Club Check-in times: Please arrive between 9AM and 9:10AM to check-in your children and take them to their class. The Check-in station will remain open until 9:15AM, but try to come by 9:10am so you can be in your class or in Chapel on time. The children will be meeting in the Green Area behind the white double doors behind the picnic table. The individual serving at MoKids Check-in can show you the way.
10:30AM-12:00PM-MoKids Learning Center! Every Sunday this Summer children and families are encouraged to study the powerful truths of God’s Word and how to apply them every day! Below is an overview of what each age group will be learning about this Summer. Please check out the links to explore further.
MoKids 6 months-5 years: We utilize the Orange Curriculum to share three powerful truths with little children, toddlers, and even babies: God loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. To learn more about Orange curriculum, CLICK HERE
MoKids Elementary (1st grade-3rd grade) We utilize the Kids Sunday School curriculum to teach the children Bible Lessons with immediate application. This Summer the children will be taught about King David, then June 30th-July 21st they will be examining the Parable of the Sower, July 28th-August 18th they will learn about God’s Warning about Jealousy, Pride, Lying, and Forgetting Him, finally we will wrap up the Summer with a lesson from Hannah’s story on August 25th as a reminder that God answers prayer. MoKids Upper Elementary (4th-6th grade) Led by Mrs. Mihomy Shade the children will be examining leadership through the life of Jesus Christ as described in the scriptures, their own lives, and the lives of leaders in their community. Children will be challenged to serve others and to apply the scriptures to their daily decisions. To learn more about plans for the Summer please contact Mihomy at 561-632-4346 or mihomy@hotmail.com. MoKids Learning Center Check-in times: Please arrive between 10:05AM and 10:25AM to check your child(ren) into class. Check-in remains open until 10:50AM, but it would be best to get your children into their classes before 10:30AM so you can be in the sanctuary when the service starts at 10:30AM. Currently families trickle in from 10:15AM until 10:50AM or later. As a courtesy to the individuals who serve and teach in the classrooms please do not attempt to take your children to class if you have not checked them in at MoKids Check-in or if it is after 10:50AM. We would love to have them, but bringing them in late is very disruptive to the other children and to the individuals who serve. We appreciate your help with this matter.
MOKIDS WORSHIP- All children in the Preschool classroom (MoKids 4) and older will be attending the worship service beginning on June 30th from 10:30-10:55AM to provide an opportunity for them to participate in corporate worship and for the volunteers who serve in these rooms to participate as well. Children will be brought into service with their class. If you check in after 10:25AM be sure you and your child are wearing your security tags and that you go into the sanctuary and sit in the Children's Section with your child. This will allow your child to leave with the other children, but not be disruptive to the group by trying to join their class before dismissal. The best situation would be for you to check your child in before 10:25AM so they will be able to go into the sanctuary with their class. Please do you best to make that possible.
