Welcome Chuck Eastman!
After months of search and interviews with prospective candidates, the Elders are thrilled to announce the hiring of Mr. Chuck Eastman to serve as the Pastor to junior and senior high school students (MSM) effective August 1.
Chuck was first recommended to us by our own Joseph Utter (the two attended college together, College of the Ozarks) and will join our church after serving four years in China as a Communications Instructor at Missouri State University, Dalian, China. Throughout Chuck's time in China, he also led a Bible study for Chinese students seeking to know more about Christ, one for other young adult missionaries serving in China, and served briefly with for Chi Alpha (the Assembly of God's College Campus Ministry).
Twenty-nine and single, Chuck has a Master of Arts in Communication (Missouri State University) and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (Assembly of God Theological Seminary). More importantly, Chuck has an incredible passion for Christ and young people. He states, "My objective is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encourage people of all ages to become disciples who grow to become more satisfied in God and consumed with a desire to proclaim His greatness to the nations."
Chuck will lead MSM for the first time on Sunday, July 31, and we invite all students and parents to attend that day during the second service. A light reception of welcome for the whole church will follow immediately after second service.
